Transplant Information from The Patients Voice

About Kidney Transplants

Kidney transplantation or renal transplantation is the surgical transplant of a new kidney in a patient with an advanced, irreversible renal disease.

On this site we shall be looking at dialysis, the reasons for and the conditions which might make a transplant necessary, the kidney transplantation itself and, of course, the treatments required.

The average life expectancy of a patient who has had a kidney transplant is normally 10 to 15 years longer than if they were maintained on dialysis alone.
A successful kidney transplant means that a patient can enjoy a better quality of life with a less restricted diet.

The Patients Voice is a community of people who are interested in participating in medical market research. In the last couple of years we have conducted surveys with both patients and family members of people who have had transplants.
It would be really great if you could spare a few minutes to join The Patients Voice by clicking the button below.

This will give you an worthwhile opportunity not just to shape the future of healthcare for you and the people you love, but also to be rewarded with cash for your participation in our research projects.
